About The Position

The Housekeeping Manager I oversees an assigned housekeeping area to ensure rooms are clean and ready for guest arrival and to deliver a positive guest experience. The role supervises, trains, directs, and supports employees, while maintaining departmental standards and providing feedback on work performance and guest service.

Requirements

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, including safety guideline implementation and enforcement, proper chemical usage, handling of biohazard materials, and injury prevention.
• Ability to engage professionally with management, employees, and guests.
• Strong leadership capabilities, including effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• More than 2 years of relevant experience in a related field.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure the smooth operation of the assigned area by supervising, training, directing, and supporting employees.
• Conduct daily briefings and schedule meetings with Guest Room Attendants and House Persons.
• Perform daily written guest room inspections in accordance with department standards.
• Monitor the productivity of Guest Room Attendants and House Persons and communicate areas below departmental standards to the assigned Executive Assistant Housekeeper.
• Counsel and discipline employees who violate department policies, practices, or procedures.
• Provide regular feedback to Guest Room Attendants and House Persons on job responsibilities and guest service.
