About The Position

The Housekeeper demonstrates a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates and is responsible for cleaning guest rooms according to company guidelines and procedures. The role also helps maintain overall hotel cleanliness, housekeeping carts and work areas, and responds to guest requests when possible and practical.

The position involves regular movement throughout the hotel and work in varied conditions, including occasional wet or humid areas and exposure to cleaning chemicals and other workplace hazards. Travel to additional nearby locations may be requested. No prior experience or training is necessary.

Requirements

• Understand instructions, policies, and guidelines and communicate effectively with the manager and staff.
• Follow guidelines and adhere to time objectives, productivity measurements, and company standards and expectations.
• Apply good judgment at all times.
• No prior experience or training is necessary.
• Be able to perform the stated physical and environmental duties, including moving throughout the hotel, bending and kneeling, and occasionally pushing or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and promote a commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates.
• Clean assigned guest rooms in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas to company standards while in use.
• Stock carts and cart rooms when necessary or as directed by management.
• Report maintenance issues to the front desk and/or manager on duty.
• Report guest property found in checked-out rooms to the front desk and manager on duty.
• Respond to guest requests and provide reasonable accommodation whenever possible and practical.
• Comply with safety and security policies and procedures.
• Complete required and annual Extended Stay University training.
• Clean other hotel areas as assigned, such as the associate breakroom, guest laundry, fitness room, vending areas, stairwells, and common areas.
• Maintain overall hotel cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
