About The Position

The part-time Housekeeper demonstrates a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates. The position is responsible for cleaning assigned guest rooms according to company guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures, and for maintaining overall hotel cleanliness. The Housekeeper maintains housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas; reports maintenance issues and guest property left in check-out rooms to the front desk or manager on duty; and responds to guest requests with reasonable accommodations when practical. The role also includes cleaning other hotel areas as assigned and completing required training.

Requirements

• No prior experience or training is necessary.
• Understand instructions, policies, and guidelines, and communicate effectively with the manager and staff.
• Follow guidelines and adhere to time objectives, productivity measurements, and company standards and expectations.
• Apply good judgment at all times.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and promote a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates.
• Clean assigned guest rooms in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas to company standards while in use.
• Stock carts and cart rooms when necessary or as directed by management.
• Report maintenance issues directly to the front desk and/or manager on duty.
• Report guest property found in a check-out room directly to the front desk and manager on duty.
• Assist with and provide reasonable accommodations for guest requests whenever possible and practical.
• Comply with all safety and security policies and procedures.
• Complete all required and annual Extended Stay University training.
• Clean other hotel areas as assigned, including associate breakrooms, guest laundry, fitness rooms, vending areas, stairwells, and common areas.
• Maintain overall hotel cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
