About The Position
The Housekeeper demonstrates and promotes a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates. This position cleans guest rooms in accordance with company guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures, and helps maintain overall hotel cleanliness. Housekeepers may also clean other hotel areas as assigned and respond to guest requests when reasonable and practical. No prior experience or training is necessary.
Requirements
- Understand instructions, policies, and guidelines, and communicate effectively with the manager and staff.
- Understand and follow guidelines and adhere to time objectives, productivity measurements, and other company standards and expectations.
- Apply good judgment at all times.
- No prior experience or training is necessary.
- Meet the physical and environmental requirements described for the position, including mobility, bending or crouching, and occasionally pushing or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and promote a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates.
- Clean assigned guest rooms in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas to company standards while in use.
- Stock carts and cart rooms when necessary or as directed by management.
- Report maintenance issues to the front desk and/or manager on duty.
- Report guest property remaining in a check-out room to the front desk and manager on duty.
- Assist with and provide reasonable accommodation for guest requests whenever possible and practical.
- Comply with all safety and security policies and procedures.
- Complete all required and annual Extended Stay University training.
- Clean other hotel areas as assigned by the manager, including associate breakrooms, guest laundry, fitness rooms, vending areas, stairwells, and common areas.
- Maintain overall hotel cleanliness.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
