About The Position

The Housekeeper demonstrates and promotes a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates. The role is responsible for cleaning assigned guest rooms in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures, while also maintaining housekeeping carts, cart rooms, laundry areas, and overall hotel cleanliness. The position assists with guest requests when reasonable and practical, reports maintenance issues and guest property found in check-out rooms, and complies with safety and security requirements. No prior experience or training is necessary.

Requirements

• Understand instructions, policies, and guidelines and communicate effectively with the manager and staff.
• Understand and follow guidelines and adhere to time objectives, productivity measurements, and company standards and expectations.
• Apply good judgment at all times.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and promote a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates.
• Clean assigned guest rooms in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas to company standards while in use.
• Stock carts and cart rooms when necessary or directed by management.
• Report maintenance issues directly to the front desk and/or manager on duty.
• Report guest property remaining in a check-out room directly to the front desk and manager on duty.
• Assist with and provide reasonable accommodation in response to guest requests whenever possible and practical.
• Comply with all safety and security policies and procedures.
• Complete all required and annual Extended Stay University training.
• Assist with cleaning other hotel areas as assigned, including associate breakrooms, guest laundry, fitness rooms, vending areas, stairwells, and common areas.
• Maintain overall hotel cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
