Housekeeper (Full Time)
About The Position
Crothall Healthcare is hiring a full-time Housekeeper at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. The position performs light cleaning duties to keep hospital facilities clean and orderly, including cleaning rooms and halls, making beds, replenishing linens, and vacuuming. The role requires no prior experience. The pay range is $18.00 to $18.75 per hour. Shifts are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.; days may vary. Additional schedule details are provided during the interview. Crothall Healthcare provides specialized support services to the healthcare industry and emphasizes quality, safety, detail, teamwork, and customer service. The Housekeeper provides attentive service to customers and contributes professionally to team efforts. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the openings are filled.
Requirements
- No prior experience is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality customer service with one-on-one attention to detail.
- Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
- Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
- Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
- Dust and polish furniture and fittings.
- Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
- Empty and clean trash containers and dispose of trash in a sanitary manner.
- Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
- Wipe down glass surfaces.
- Make beds and change linens as required.
- Realign furniture and amenities according to the prescribed layout.
- Respond to guest queries and requests.
- Respond to housekeeping problem calls, such as spills and broken glasses.
- Contribute to team efforts and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow associates, and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
