HOUSEKEEPER (FULL TIME)
About The Position
TouchPoint Support Services is hiring a full-time Housekeeper at Ascension Living Carroll Manor in Washington, DC. The role performs light cleaning to maintain a clean and orderly healthcare establishment. Duties include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming. The position requires prior housekeeping experience and offers a fixed pay rate of $18.40 per hour. The schedule is full time, with days that may vary. Shifts are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Weekend and holiday availability is required. TouchPoint serves patients, families, and visitors at Ascension Health hospitals, with an emphasis on hospitality, quality service, teamwork, and supporting the organization’s healthcare mission.
Requirements
- Prior housekeeping experience is required.
- Weekend and holiday availability is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality customer service and one-on-one attention to detail.
- Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
- Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
- Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
- Dust and polish furniture and fittings.
- Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
- Empty and clean trash containers and dispose of trash sanitarily.
- Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
- Wipe down glass surfaces.
- Make beds and change linens as required.
- Realign furniture and amenities according to the prescribed layout.
- Respond to guest queries and requests.
- Respond to housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses.
- Contribute to team efforts and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow associates, and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
