About The Position
Crothall Healthcare is hiring a full-time Housekeeper at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina. The position performs light cleaning duties to maintain a clean and orderly healthcare establishment, including cleaning rooms and halls, making beds, replenishing linens, and vacuuming. The role offers shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.; days may vary. No prior experience is required. The stated pay range is $18.00 to $18.75 per hour. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the openings are filled.
Requirements
- No prior experience is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Provide detailed, one-on-one customer service.
- Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
- Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
- Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
- Dust and polish furniture and fittings.
- Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
- Empty and clean trash containers, and dispose of trash in a sanitary manner.
- Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
- Wipe down glass surfaces.
- Make beds and change linens as required.
- Arrange furniture and amenities according to the prescribed layout.
- Respond to guest queries and requests.
- Respond to housekeeping issues such as spills and broken glasses.
- Contribute to team efforts and act professionally with customers, colleagues, and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
