About The Position

The Housekeeper demonstrates and promotes a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates. The position is responsible for cleaning guest rooms in accordance with company guidelines and procedures, as well as maintaining overall hotel cleanliness. The role may also include cleaning other hotel areas as assigned and assisting guests with reasonable requests when possible and practical. The work requires mobility throughout the hotel, handling and reaching for objects and equipment, and frequent bending, kneeling, or crouching. Housekeepers may occasionally push or pull carts or cleaning equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Work may involve outside weather conditions, wet or humid areas, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical-shock risk, and moderate to loud noise. Travel to nearby locations may be requested.

Requirements

No prior experience or training is necessary.
Understand instructions, policies, and guidelines and communicate effectively with the manager and staff.
Understand and follow guidelines, adhere to time objectives, productivity measurements, and company standards and expectations.
Apply good judgment at all times.
Ability to remain stationary and mobile, navigate the hotel, handle and reach for objects, tools, or controls, and detect scents and sounds.
Ability to access low areas, traverse heights while remaining stable, balance, and bend, kneel, or crouch.
Ability to occasionally push or pull carts or cleaning equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to detect items in guest rooms to ensure safe performance of work.

Demonstrate and promote a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates.
Clean assigned guest rooms in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
Maintain housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas to company standards while in use.
Stock carts and cart rooms when necessary or as directed by management.
Report maintenance issues directly to the front desk and/or manager on duty.
Report guest property remaining in a check-out room directly to the front desk and manager on duty.
Assist with and provide reasonable accommodations in response to guest requests whenever possible and practical.
Comply with all safety and security policies and procedures.
Complete all required and annual Extended Stay University training.
Clean other hotel areas as assigned by the manager, including associate breakrooms, guest laundry, fitness rooms, vending areas, stairwells, and common areas.
Maintain overall hotel cleanliness.
Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
