About The Position

The Housekeeper demonstrates a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates. The position is responsible for cleaning guest rooms in accordance with company guidelines and procedures, maintaining housekeeping work areas and supplies, and helping maintain overall hotel cleanliness. The role also includes responding to reasonable guest requests, reporting maintenance issues and property left in checked-out rooms, following safety and security procedures, and completing required training.

The work involves regular movement throughout the hotel, bending and kneeling, and occasionally pushing or pulling carts or cleaning equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Work conditions may include outside weather, wet or humid areas, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, electrical-shock risk, and moderate to loud noise. Travel to nearby locations may occasionally be requested.

Requirements

• No prior experience or training is necessary.
• Understand instructions, policies, and guidelines and communicate effectively with the manager and staff.
• Follow guidelines and meet time objectives, productivity measurements, and other company standards and expectations.
• Apply good judgment at all times.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and promote a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates.
• Clean assigned guest rooms in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas to company standards while in use.
• Stock carts and cart rooms when necessary or as directed by management.
• Report maintenance issues to the front desk and/or manager on duty.
• Report guest property remaining in a check-out room to the front desk and manager on duty.
• Assist with and provide reasonable accommodation for guest requests whenever possible and practical.
• Comply with all safety and security policies and procedures.
• Complete all required and annual Extended Stay University training.
• Clean other hotel areas as assigned, including associate breakrooms, guest laundry, fitness rooms, vending areas, stairwells, and common areas.
• Maintain overall hotel cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
