About The Position

The Housekeeper demonstrates and promotes a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates. This position cleans guest rooms according to company guidelines and procedures and helps maintain the overall cleanliness of the hotel. The role requires following safety and security procedures, communicating effectively with management and staff, and adhering to company standards and productivity expectations. No prior experience or training is necessary.

Understand instructions, policies, and guidelines and communicate effectively with the manager and staff.
Follow guidelines and adhere to time objectives, productivity measurements, and company standards and expectations.
Apply good judgment at all times.
Meet the physical and environmental requirements of the role, including mobility around the hotel, bending, kneeling, crouching, and occasionally pushing or pulling carts or cleaning equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned guest rooms in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
Maintain housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas to company standards while in use.
Stock carts and cart rooms when necessary or as directed by management.
Report maintenance issues to the front desk and/or manager on duty.
Report guest property left in a checked-out room to the front desk and manager on duty.
Assist with reasonable guest requests whenever possible and practical.
Comply with safety and security policies and procedures.
Complete required and annual Extended Stay University training.
Clean other hotel areas as assigned, including associate breakrooms, guest laundry, fitness rooms, vending areas, stairwells, and common areas.
Maintain overall hotel cleanliness.
Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
