About The Position

The Housekeeper demonstrates a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates. The position cleans assigned guest rooms according to company standards, policies, and procedures, and helps maintain the overall cleanliness of the hotel. Housekeepers may also clean other hotel areas as assigned and support guest requests when reasonable and practical.

Requirements

No prior experience or training is necessary.
Understand instructions, policies, and guidelines and communicate effectively with the manager and staff.
Follow guidelines and meet time objectives, productivity measurements, and other company standards and expectations.
Apply good judgment at all times.
Be able to perform the listed physical and environmental duties, including moving through the hotel, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and occasionally pushing or pulling carts or cleaning equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned guest rooms in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
Maintain housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas to company standards while in use.
Stock carts and cart rooms as necessary or as directed by management.
Report maintenance issues to the front desk and/or manager on duty.
Report guest property left in a checkout room to the front desk and manager on duty.
Assist with guest requests and provide reasonable accommodation whenever possible and practical.
Comply with safety and security policies and procedures.
Complete required and annual Extended Stay University training.
Clean other hotel areas as assigned, including associate breakrooms, guest laundry, fitness rooms, vending areas, stairwells, and common areas.
Maintain overall hotel cleanliness.
Perform other duties assigned by the management team.
