About The Position

A Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a building’s general cleanliness and providing tidy, sanitary amenities for guests and patients. Duties include cleaning floors, making beds, and dusting surfaces throughout the hospital. The Housekeeper must meet the employer’s cleanliness standards, requiring attention to detail, physical strength, and stamina to work long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Understand the hospital’s policies on work shifts, guests’ possessions, and privacy.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties, including changing sheets, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, and rearranging rooms after guests are discharged.
• Report and return guest property found in rooms while providing service.
• Report property damage in commercial spaces to a supervisor.
• Work with a team of housekeepers on each shift.
• Clean floors, make beds, and dust surfaces throughout the hospital to the employer’s standards.
