Housekeeper - Night Shift

About The Position

The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and organizing all areas of the facility in accordance with the Housekeeping Cleaning Log. The role maintains an adequate supply of cleaning materials, reports building deficiencies to the supervisor, and supports additional facilities projects as needed. This position works the night shift. The Housekeeper cleans facility areas and documents completion of required tasks, collects and disposes of trash and cardboard daily, monitors janitorial supply stock and informs the purchasing department when supplies need replenishing, and keeps the utility room clean and organized. The role requires following cleaning procedures and safety requirements, including applicable GMP and OSHA standards and bloodborne pathogens training.

Requirements

Previous experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job, comparable to 0 to 1 year; an appropriate combination of education, training, and/or directly related experience may be considered.
Knowledge of appropriate cleaning methods and procedures.
Ability to read and follow directions.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to learn, understand, and follow OSHA regulations and bloodborne pathogens training.
Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner.
Able to work upright and stationary and/or standing for typical working hours.
Able to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
Able to work in non-traditional work environments.
Able to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency.
Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities.
Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) safety standards and use of required personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

High school or secondary school diploma or equivalent preferred, along with a relevant formal academic or vocational qualification.

Responsibilities

Clean all areas of the facility as indicated in the Housekeeping Cleaning Log.
Document that all required cleaning tasks have been completed.
Collect and dispose of trash and cardboard boxes daily.
Monitor janitorial supply stock and inform the purchasing department when replenishment is needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the utility room.
Report building deficiencies to the supervisor.
Complete additional housekeeping duties as needed to support special facilities projects.
