About The Position

The Arbors of Shelburne is seeking a full- or part-time housekeeper. The role maintains a safe, clean community for residents, associates, and visitors. Duties include laundering towels, bed linens, and resident laundry, as well as maintaining resident apartments. The position requires weekend and holiday work and pays $18–$20 per hour.

The employer welcomes applicants who take pride in their work and are dedicated to assisting others. Cleaning experience is preferred, but training will be provided.

Requirements

• Understand practices for the proper handling of biohazardous waste.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience cleaning residential or commercial settings.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean assigned resident apartments according to the supervisor’s schedule.
• Clean bathrooms, including toilet bowls, sinks, bathtubs, countertops, mirrors, and floors.
• Wipe kitchen counters and areas under objects, and mop kitchen floors.
• Vacuum all exposed areas completely, including edges.
• Empty and rinse wastebaskets when necessary.
• Wash the inside of windows as needed.
• Clean common areas according to standards and practices, including elevators, halls, landings, stairs, resident activity areas, lobbies, and model units.
• Clean other flat surfaces as scheduled or requested by the supervisor.
• Keep the laundry room clean and orderly.
• Store chemicals according to product instructions or supervisor direction.
• Launder towels, bed linens, and resident laundry.
