About The Position
Crothall Healthcare is hiring full-time and part-time Housekeepers at Manhattanville Rehabilitation Center in the Bronx, New York. The position performs light cleaning to keep healthcare facilities clean and orderly, including cleaning rooms and halls, maintaining floors, replenishing linens, and vacuuming. Housekeepers provide attentive customer service, respond to requests and housekeeping issues, and contribute professionally to team efforts. Training is available. The fixed pay rate is $17.87 per hour.
Requirements
- Prior floor care maintenance and housekeeping experience is required.
- Weekend availability is required.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality customer service and one-on-one attention to detail.
- Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
- Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
- Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
- Dust and polish furniture and fittings.
- Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
- Empty and clean trash containers and dispose of trash in a sanitary manner.
- Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
- Wipe down glass surfaces.
- Make beds and change linens as required.
- Realign furniture and amenities according to the prescribed layout.
- Respond to guest queries and requests.
- Respond to housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses.
- Contribute to team efforts and act professionally with customers, fellow associates, and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
