About The Position

The Housekeeper provides housekeeping services for residents, making each area comfortable, clean, and welcoming. The role also keeps shared spaces—including the lobby and employee break room—tidy and organized. This is a full-time position at Madison in Kansas City, Missouri, scheduled Tuesday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pay is $17 to $22.75 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of eighth-grade proficiency.
• Positive, energetic attitude and enthusiasm for working with residents.
• Professional appearance and conduct.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Good physical health and the physical and mental capacity to perform assigned tasks.
• A physician health screening must verify good physical health and be performed no more than six months before or seven days after employment; must test free from pulmonary tuberculosis at the time of screening.
• Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Provide housekeeping services for residents and keep their living areas clean and comfortable.
• Keep shared areas, including the lobby and employee break room, tidy and organized.
• Push and pull a wheeled housekeeping cart.
