About The Position

The Housekeeper demonstrates and promotes a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates. The position is responsible for cleaning guest rooms according to company guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures, and for maintaining overall hotel cleanliness. The Housekeeper may also help clean other hotel areas as assigned and respond to guest requests whenever possible and practical. No prior experience or training is necessary.

Requirements

No prior experience or training is necessary.
Understand instructions, policies, and guidelines, and communicate effectively with the manager and staff.
Follow guidelines and meet time objectives, productivity measurements, and other company standards and expectations.
Apply good judgment at all times.
Ability to perform the described physical and environmental job demands, including occasionally pushing or pulling carts or cleaning equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Clean assigned guest rooms in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
Maintain housekeeping carts, cart rooms, and laundry areas to company standards while in use.
Stock carts and cart rooms when necessary or directed by management.
Report maintenance issues directly to the front desk and/or manager on duty.
Report guest property left in a checked-out room directly to the front desk and manager on duty.
Assist with reasonable guest requests whenever possible and practical.
Comply with safety and security policies and procedures.
Complete required and annual Extended Stay University training.
Clean other hotel areas as assigned, including associate breakrooms, guest laundry, fitness rooms, vending areas, stairwells, and common areas.
Maintain overall hotel cleanliness.
Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
