About The Position

Housekeeping Aides support the health and safety of children by maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the childcare center. They help keep the building, classrooms, and playground clean, safe, and orderly; perform janitorial tasks; clean school equipment and furnishings; maintain restrooms and supplies; and assist with seasonal decorations and displays.

Requirements

• Comfortable working around children.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a team environment.
• Must meet state education requirements and the center/school requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and order of the building, classrooms, and playground.
• Perform janitorial tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows, and cleaning restrooms.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Clean school equipment, furniture, fixtures, and walls.
• Clean restrooms and refill dispensers.
• Assist with putting up and removing seasonal decorations and displays throughout the year.
