Child Care Center Housekeeper
About The Position
The Child Care Center Housekeeper helps maintain the organization and cleanliness of a childcare center, supporting a safe and healthy environment where children can learn and grow. The role keeps the building, classrooms, and playground clean, safe, and orderly; performs janitorial tasks; cleans school equipment, furniture, fixtures, and walls; maintains restrooms and dispensers; and helps put up and remove seasonal decorations and displays. The position follows a Monday–Friday work week. Compensation is $16.40–$17.03 per hour, paid biweekly, with Daily Pay options; compensation is based on position, education, and experience.
Requirements
- Comfortable working around children.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a team environment.
- Must meet state requirements for education and the center/school requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the building, classrooms, and playground in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
- Perform janitorial tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows and restrooms, and gathering and emptying trash.
- Assist with cleaning school equipment, furniture, fixtures, and walls.
- Clean restrooms and refill dispensers.
- Assist with putting up and removing seasonal decorations and displays throughout the year.
