About The Position

The Housekeeper performs commercial cleaning duties at Beloved Community Charter School in Jersey City, New Jersey. The role follows ServiceMaster TBS Division’s commercial cleaning task schedules and uses ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures. Duties include routine cleaning and weekly detailed cleaning. On-the-job training is provided to people with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and pays $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

Arrive at the work location at the scheduled time.
Work within the allotted hours.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Show respect and understanding for co-workers and customers.
Differentiate between cleaning products and their uses.
Be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Be able to perform constant standing, walking, pushing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.

Responsibilities

Follow ServiceMaster TBS Division’s commercial cleaning task schedules.
Empty trash.
Dust furniture, including desks, chairs, and tables.
Dust exposed surfaces, including window sills, ledges, and moldings.
Clean glass and mirrors.
Clean and sanitize restrooms using ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures.
Vacuum and mop floors.
Perform weekly detailed cleaning.
Use personal protective equipment where required.
Complete special requests made by the client and record them in the company log.
Wear the proper uniform at all times.
Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude.
