Part-Time House Manager with Meal Prep Support
About The Position
We are a busy, active family of five seeking a Part-Time House Manager with Meal Prep Support to help maintain the rhythm of our household. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and thrives in an independently managed role. You will be responsible for daily household resets, maintaining organizational systems, managing inventory and errands, assisting with meal preparation, handling laundry and linens, coordinating pet care and vehicle upkeep, providing occasional family support, performing deep cleaning and special projects, and serving as an on-site point of contact for vendors. Requirements
- Maintain a smoke-free environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required.
- CPR and First Aid certification required (or willing to obtain upon employment).
- Fragrance-free preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Experience with meal preparation, laundry, and household organization.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities
- Perform daily resets: dishes, surfaces, vacuuming high-traffic areas
- Maintain and improve existing household organizational systems
- Identify and implement household efficiencies
- Seasonal kids' clothing swaps and closet inventory
- Coordinate donation drop-offs and assist with purging room by room
- Assist with event, holiday, and guest prep
- Support packing and unpacking around family travel
- Care for indoor plants
- Change batteries, light bulbs, and smoke detectors as needed
- Clean and maintain air purifiers
- Manage pantry, fridge, and household supply restocking
- Maintain running household supply lists
- Place and manage household orders via shared family accounts
- Handle returns, dry cleaning drop-off and pickup, UPS and Amazon returns
- Sort mail and packages; filter junk and flag important items
- Break down boxes
- Prep 2–3 dinners per week using the family's existing recipe collection
- Batch cook 2–3 breakfast items each week
- Prepare lunch items and snacks
- Kitchen cleanup and maintenance as part of meal support
- Keep laundry moving: wash, dry, fold, and organize
- Hang dry parents' clothing as preferred
- Weekly rotation of linens and towels, including remaking beds
- Maintain a tidy and well-stocked laundry area
- Coordinate and handle grooming drop-off and pickup
- Administer medications as needed
- Manage pet supply ordering and inventory
- Schedule and drop off the family vehicle for oil changes and routine maintenance
- Light cleaning and organizing of the family vehicle
- Occasional child pickup and drop-off as needed
- Light backup childcare, particularly coverage for date nights
- Occasional targeted deep cleans (refrigerator, oven, baseboards) as needed
- Keep the mudroom drop zone and kitchen counters organized and functional
- Ongoing organizational projects: working through rooms to purge, sort, and refresh
- Serve as the on-site point of contact for vendors and contractors
- Relay relevant information and updates to the family
- Assist with beginning- and end-of-season outdoor furniture and garage reset
Benefits
- Compensation: $28–$32 per hour, commensurate with experience.
- Guaranteed minimum of 15 hours per week.
