About The Position
Copart is seeking hotshot transport drivers for its FlexForce team. Drivers operate hotshot-style trucks with five-car trailers to move vehicles to and from Copart locations and operate a frontend loader to load, unload, and move vehicles around a Copart facility when not driving. During special projects or catastrophe events such as hurricanes, hail, or flooding, drivers may be deployed to locations across the country to assist with catastrophe response. The role requires national travel, sometimes by airplane, and may involve extended periods away from home. Drivers are paid a piece rate while driving and an hourly rate when not driving. The posting states an earning potential of $75,000 or more per year, with top performers earning $100,000 per year, and separately lists pay as $24.60 per hour.
Requirements
- At least one year of car-hauling experience.
- A Class A driver's license issued by the driver's state of residence.
- Meet background screening criteria.
- Ability to travel nationally with 24 hours or less notice, including by airplane at times.
- Ability to work long hours, 12 or more hours per day, when needed.
- Ability to work in extreme conditions, weather, and terrain.

Responsibilities
- Travel nationally on short notice for extended periods.
- Deploy to catastrophe events within 24 hours when directed.
- Pick up and deliver vehicles to designated Copart facilities.
- Load and unload vehicles safely and without damage.
- Operate company equipment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain Hours of Service logs.
- Maintain and ensure the good operating condition of equipment and facilities.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the manager in support of daily operations.
- Operate a frontend loader to load, unload, and move vehicles around the Copart facility when not driving.
