About The Position

Copart is seeking Hotshot Drivers for its FlexForce team to support local facilities by transporting vehicles between Copart locations using hotshot-style trucks with five-car trailers. When not driving, drivers operate frontend loaders to load, unload, and move vehicles around the facility. During special projects or catastrophes such as hurricanes, hail, or flooding, drivers may be deployed to locations across the country to assist with catastrophe response. Compensation includes a piece-rate-based pay system while driving and an hourly rate when not driving. The posting states an earning potential of $75,000 or more annually, notes that top performers earn $100,000 per year, and lists pay at $27.33 per hour. Drivers may receive $45 per day in per diem when traveling. The position requires national travel, sometimes by airplane, and deployment to catastrophe events within 24 hours when directed. Travel may involve extended periods away, long workdays of 12 or more hours when needed, and work in extreme conditions, weather, and terrain.
