About The Position

Copart is seeking Hotshot Drivers for its FlexForce team. Drivers operate hotshot-style trucks with five-car trailers to transport vehicles to and from Copart facilities. When not driving, they operate a frontend loader to load, unload, and move vehicles around the facility. During special projects or catastrophes, drivers may be deployed to locations across the country to support catastrophe response efforts, including hurricanes, hail, and flooding. The position requires national travel, sometimes by airplane, and may involve extended periods away from home and work in extreme weather and terrain. Pay is $24.60 per hour, with piece-rate driving pay offering potential earnings of $75,000 or more annually; top performers earn $100,000 annually. An hourly rate applies when not driving. Employees receive $45 per day in per diem when traveling.

Requirements

• At least one year of car-hauling experience.
• A Class A driver's license issued by the driver's state of residence.
• Meet background screening criteria.
• Be able to travel with 24 hours' notice or less.
• Be able to work long hours, including 12 or more hours per day when needed.
• Be able to work in extreme conditions, weather, and terrain.
• Be willing to travel nationally, including by airplane at times.

Responsibilities

• Travel nationally on short notice for extended periods.
• Deploy to catastrophe events within 24 hours when directed.
• Pick up and deliver vehicles to designated Copart facilities.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and without damage.
• Operate company equipment in compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain commitment to safety, productivity, and professionalism.
• Maintain Hours of Service logs.
• Maintain and ensure the good operating condition of equipment and facilities.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the manager in support of daily operations.
