About The Position

The Hotel Club Room Host keeps the hotel lobby breakfast, refreshment area, or concierge room stocked, clean, and orderly. The role includes greeting guests, answering questions, maintaining food and beverage supplies, cleaning the dining area and equipment, and communicating inventory shortages, maintenance issues, and guest complaints to a manager. The employee must follow company and property-specific policies and safety standards, maintain a professional image, and report to work as scheduled. This is a part-time role with required availability Sundays from 6 a.m. to noon, and Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. The listed pay is $16 per hour. The employee must be able to put away food deliveries, including lifting more than 50 pounds as stated in the posting.

Responsibilities

Meet and greet hotel guests and answer questions and inquiries.
Put away weekly deliveries of supplies and rotate stock.
Restock food and beverage items as guests deplete them and put away food and supplies at the end of the meal period.
Wash dishes and food trays, and clean microwaves.
Clear and wipe counters and tables; place table centerpieces and remove salt and pepper shakers.
Fill coffee pots before leaving.
Fill the hot water dispenser and electric steamers to prepare for the next day.
Dispose of trash and wipe down trash cans.
Break down cardboard boxes and carry them to the trash or recycling receptacle.
Vacuum and mop the dining area and pantry.
Organize the pantry.
Complete the hotel pantry communication log for other shifts and hotel employees.
Communicate inventory shortages, maintenance issues, and guest complaints to a manager.
Assist with cleaning public restrooms, the pool area, fitness center, main lobby, sleeping rooms, or laundry, and with special cleaning projects as requested.
Follow KHC policies and property-specific guidelines, including dress code, safety, and performance standards.
Maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled.
Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet, replenish food and beverages, and ensure food is prepared, stored, and served according to food safety and sanitation standards.
Keep the dining area clean and organized and provide excellent customer service.
Put away food delivery orders, including lifting items weighing more than 50 pounds.
