About The Position

The Hotel Club Room Host keeps the hotel lobby breakfast, refreshment, or concierge area stocked, clean, and orderly. The role welcomes guests, answers questions, maintains food and beverage supplies, and prepares the area for the next meal period. The position may also assist with cleaning other hotel spaces and special cleaning projects as requested. The posting identifies the role as part-time and lists a pay rate of $16 per hour. The stated schedule requires availability Sundays from 6 a.m. to noon and Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Availability Sundays from 6 a.m. to noon and Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Ability to lift more than 50 pounds to put away food delivery orders.
Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, handle or feel objects, reach, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; frequent climbing or balancing is also required.
Ability to occasionally talk or hear and taste or smell.
Required vision abilities include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Follow safety precautions and applicable company and property policies.

Responsibilities

Meet and greet hotel guests and answer questions and inquiries.
Put away weekly deliveries of supplies and rotate stock.
Restock food and beverage items as guests use them and put away food and supplies at the end of the meal period.
Wash dishes and food trays and clean microwaves.
Clear and wipe counters and tables; place centerpieces and remove salt and pepper shakers.
Fill coffee pots before leaving and fill the hot water dispenser and electric steamers for the next day.
Dispose of trash, wipe down trash cans, and break down cardboard boxes for disposal or recycling.
Vacuum and mop the dining area and pantry, and organize the pantry.
Complete the hotel pantry communication log for other shifts and hotel employees.
Communicate inventory shortages, maintenance issues, and guest complaints to the manager.
Assist with cleaning public restrooms, the pool area, fitness center, main lobby, sleeping rooms, or laundry, and with special cleaning projects as requested.
Follow KHC policies and property-specific guidelines and standards, including dress code, safety, and performance standards; maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled.
Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet, replenish food and beverages, and ensure food is prepared, stored, and served according to food safety and sanitation standards.
Keep the dining area clean and organized and provide excellent customer service.
Lift food delivery orders and put them away.
