About The Position

Keeps the hotel lobby breakfast or refreshment area, or concierge room, stocked, clean, and orderly. The role includes greeting guests, maintaining food and beverage supplies, cleaning the pantry and dining area, and communicating inventory shortages, maintenance issues, and guest complaints to a manager. The employee is responsible for following KHC policies and property-specific guidelines, maintaining a professional image, and reporting to work as scheduled. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to perform the physical demands of the job, including standing, walking, handling items, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and frequently climbing or balancing.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet hotel guests and answer questions and inquiries.
• Put away weekly supply deliveries and rotate stock.
• Restock food and beverage items as guests use them and put away food and supplies at the end of the meal period.
• Wash dishes and food trays and clean microwaves.
• Clear and wipe counters and tables; place table centerpieces and remove salt and pepper shakers.
• Fill coffee pots before leaving.
• Fill the hot water dispenser and electric steamers to prepare for the next day.
• Dispose of trash and wipe down trash cans.
• Break down cardboard boxes and carry them to trash or recycling receptacles.
• Vacuum and mop the dining area and pantry.
• Organize the pantry.
• Complete the hotel pantry communication log for other shifts and hotel employees to review.
• Communicate inventory shortages, maintenance issues, and guest complaints to a manager.
• Assist with cleaning public restrooms, the pool area, fitness center, main lobby, sleeping rooms, or laundry, and with special cleaning projects as requested.
• Follow KHC policies and procedures and property-specific guidelines, including dress code, safety, and performance standards.
• Maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled.
• Follow proper safety precautions to avoid injuries.
