About The Position

Keeps the hotel lobby breakfast or refreshment area, or concierge room, stocked, clean, and orderly. The role includes welcoming guests and answering questions, maintaining food and beverage supplies, cleaning dining and pantry areas, and communicating inventory shortages, maintenance issues, or guest complaints to a manager. The employee must follow company and property-specific policies and standards, maintain a professional image, and report to work as scheduled. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Regularly stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently climb or balance.
• Occasionally talk or hear, and taste or smell.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Have close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet hotel guests and answer questions and inquiries.
• Put away weekly supply deliveries and rotate stock.
• Restock food and beverage items as guests deplete them and put away food and supplies at the end of the meal period.
• Wash dishes and food trays.
• Clean microwaves.
• Clear and wipe counters and tables, place centerpieces on tables, and remove salt and pepper shakers.
• Fill coffee pots before leaving.
• Fill the hot water dispenser and electric steamers to prepare for the next day.
• Dispose of trash and wipe down trash cans.
• Break down cardboard boxes and carry them to the trash or recycling receptacle.
• Vacuum and mop the dining area and pantry.
• Organize the pantry.
• Complete the hotel pantry communication log for other shifts and hotel employees to review.
• Communicate inventory shortages, maintenance issues, or guest complaints to a manager.
• Assist with cleaning public restrooms, the pool area, fitness center, main lobby, sleeping rooms, or laundry, and with special cleaning projects as requested.
• Follow KHC policies and procedures, including dress code, safety, and performance standards; maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled.
• Follow proper safety precautions to avoid injuries.
