About The Position

The Hotel Club Room Host keeps the hotel lobby breakfast or refreshment area, or concierge room, stocked, clean, and orderly. The role includes welcoming guests, answering questions, maintaining food and beverage supplies, cleaning dishes and surfaces, and preparing the area for the next day. The host may also assist with cleaning other hotel spaces or special projects as requested and must follow company and property policies, safety standards, dress code, and scheduling expectations.

Requirements

Follow company safety precautions at all times to avoid injuries.
Meet the physical demands of the role, including regularly standing, walking, using hands, reaching, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; frequently climbing or balancing; and frequently lifting or moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
Have the vision abilities required for the job, including close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Meet and greet hotel guests and answer questions and inquiries.
Put away weekly deliveries of supplies and rotate stock.
Restock food and beverage items at the hotel bar as guests deplete them and put away food and supplies at the end of the meal period.
Wash dishes and food trays.
Clean microwaves.
Clear and wipe counters and tables, place centerpieces on tables, and remove salt and pepper shakers.
Fill coffee pots before leaving.
Fill the hot water dispenser and electric steamers to prepare for the next day.
Dispose of trash and wipe down trash cans.
Break down cardboard boxes and carry them to the trash or recycling receptacle.
Vacuum and mop the dining area and pantry.
Organize the pantry.
Complete the hotel pantry communication log for other shifts and hotel employees to review.
Communicate inventory shortages, maintenance issues, or guest complaints to the manager.
Assist with cleaning public restrooms, the pool area, fitness center, main lobby, sleeping rooms, or laundry, or with special cleaning projects as requested.
Follow KHC policies and procedures, including dress code, safety, and performance standards; maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled.
