About The Position

The Hotel Breakfast Attendant prepares, sets up, and maintains daily breakfast service to provide guests with a clean, welcoming, and satisfying experience. The role stocks and replenishes food and beverage items, maintains the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, and provides friendly, attentive service. The attendant follows food safety standards, assists with inventory, and supports guest satisfaction by helping create a positive start to each guest’s day. The position includes assisting with the setup and closing of hot or continental breakfast using provided checklists; preparing and replenishing food; maintaining food safety and handling practices; completing a daily inventory preparation sheet; cleaning kitchen, dining, lobby, and surrounding areas; clearing tables; assisting guests; washing dishes and serving utensils; collecting and disposing of trash; and checking fixtures, equipment, and conditions for proper operation and reporting deficiencies.

Requirements

One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assist with setup and closing of hot or continental breakfast using provided checklists.
Prepare food and replenish items as needed.
Follow food safety and handling policies and procedures, including product rotation, dating, labeling, and cleaning.
Complete the daily inventory preparation sheet.
Help maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining area, lobby, and surrounding areas.
Clear and clean tables.
Assist guests and provide exemplary service.
Wash dishes and serving utensils as needed.
Collect trash and waste and transport it to the disposal area.
Check fixtures, equipment, and conditions—including lighting, heating and cooling, appliances, furniture, and wallpaper—for proper operation, settings, and maintenance; report deficiencies.
