About The Position

The Hotel Bartender fulfills beverage orders, prepares drinks according to established recipes and procedures, and provides service in accordance with company alcohol-service procedures and relevant laws. The role includes maintaining the bar, completing setup and breakdown, stocking supplies, performing side work and cashiering, and operating and cleaning beverage equipment. The bartender maintains knowledge of bar-service trends, mixology, glassware, prices, exotic cocktails, company events, and promotions. The position also requires following appearance, sanitation, and safety standards and addressing customer complaints, seeking supervisor support when necessary.

Responsibilities

Fulfill beverage orders at the bar and garnish drinks correctly.
Card customers who appear to be 30 years old or younger.
Follow company alcohol-service procedures and comply with and enforce alcohol-awareness procedures and relevant laws.
Prepare drinks and dispense liquor according to established recipes and procedures to minimize waste and control costs.
Clean and maintain the bar area throughout the assigned shift.
Complete setup, breakdown, stocking duties, and assigned side work.
Operate and clean the ice machine, pouring gun, and other beverage equipment.
Perform cashiering duties and apply the established pricing structure to every drink order.
Follow company and departmental appearance standards, including uniform, hygiene, and general appearance guidelines.
Handle customer complaints and seek supervisor involvement and support when necessary.
Perform tasks in accordance with relevant sanitation and safety laws and regulations.
Maintain current knowledge of bar-service trends, mixology, glassware, prices, and exotic cocktails.
Maintain current knowledge of company events and promotions and answer guests' questions about them.
Perform other duties as assigned.
