About The Position

Collegiate Hotel Group is seeking a Bartender to join Hotel 1928. The Bartender prepares and serves drinks according to bar standards and guest preferences, maintains a clean and properly stocked bar, processes payments, and helps ensure guests have a satisfying experience. The role also involves monitoring guests for alcohol overconsumption and securing beverages, equipment, and cash at the end of service. Other duties may be assigned by management.

A high school diploma or GED and Safe Serving certification are required. Candidates should know alcohol-serving practices and standards, communicate effectively, work as part of a team, exceed guest expectations, and be detail-oriented.

The hiring process may include a phone interview, manager interview, drug screen, background check, reference checks, and a potential employment assessment. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Set up the bar with appropriate levels of liquor, juices, crushes, additives, soda, and other supplies.
• Keep the bar, glasses, and cutlery clean and sanitized.
• Ensure guests are of legal age to consume alcohol.
• Prepare drink orders according to bar standards and guest preferences.
• Present bar bills and take payment.
• Engage guests and ensure they are satisfied.
• Monitor guests for alcohol overconsumption and take steps as necessary.
• Lock up and store beverages, food, and equipment; deposit cash drops and secure the bank.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
