About The Position

Collegiate Hotel Group is seeking a Bus Person (described in the posting as a Food Runner) to join Hotel 1928. The role supports restaurant service by welcoming guests, delivering food, bussing and resetting tables, assisting wait staff, and completing side work. The employee should know the menu, hotel art and decor, and local recommendations well enough to speak knowledgeably with guests. The position also requires following uniform and grooming specifications and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Able to work flexible hours and shifts.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
Team player.
Ability to multitask.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in a similar or supportive role is preferred.
Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness Certification, if applicable.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests.
Deliver food orders to guests based on restaurant needs.
Assist with bussing and resetting tables throughout service.
Understand menu offerings and speak knowledgeably about each item to customers.
Become acquainted with the hotel’s art and decor and be able to speak about them.
Represent the community and know local spots to recommend to guests.
Complete side work duties.
Assist wait staff as needed.
Follow uniform and grooming specifications.
Perform other duties as assigned.
