About The Position

Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern is seeking a Host to create a positive first impression and make guests feel welcome by phone and in person. The Host manages guest seating in the dining room to support quality service, guest satisfaction, and sales opportunities. The role also involves answering questions, handling requests and complaints with guest satisfaction as the priority, and contributing to a welcoming, collaborative restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests and create a positive first impression in person and by phone.
Control dining-room seating to support quality service, guest satisfaction, and sales opportunities.
Answer guests’ questions about the restaurant and handle requests and complaints with guest satisfaction as the priority.
Arrive on time as scheduled and maintain a clean uniform and good personal hygiene throughout work shifts.
Cooperate with management and coworkers and assist with duties as needed.
Communicate suggestions for improvement positively.
Follow national, state, and local safety, health, and sanitation guidelines; report potentially unsafe conditions and use materials and equipment properly.
Know restaurant emergency procedures.
Perform assigned duties and maintain knowledge of standards and procedures in the associate handbook.
