About The Position

Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern is seeking a Host to create a positive first impression and make guests feel welcome both by phone and in person. The Host manages seating in the dining room to support service quality, guest satisfaction, and sales opportunities. The role also contributes to a welcoming experience for associates, guests, purveyors, partners, and the communities in which the restaurant does business.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and maintain the required uniform, personal hygiene, and cleanliness.
• Provide hospitality, answer guests’ questions about the restaurant, and handle requests and complaints with guest satisfaction as the priority.
• Manage guest seating in the dining room to support quality service, guest satisfaction, and sales opportunities.
• Work cooperatively with management and co-workers, assist with duties when needed, and communicate suggestions for improvement positively.
• Follow national, state, and local safety, health, and sanitation guidelines; report potentially unsafe conditions and use materials and equipment properly.
• Know restaurant emergency procedures.
• Perform assigned duties and maintain knowledge of standards and procedures in the associate handbook.
