About The Position

The Host - Fine Dining provides a professional, friendly first impression and supports a smooth guest seating experience. The role handles reservations, manages waitlists and seating plans, escorts guests to tables, and helps keep the restaurant entrance and lobby clean and organized. The Host communicates with waitstaff, shares information about the menu and promotions, assists with guest requests, and addresses concerns professionally. The position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a Class III B gaming license.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Washington State Health Card/Food Handlers Permit.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Class 12 Alcohol Permit.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

• One year of previous experience in a similar role, particularly in fine dining or upscale restaurants, is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent guest service and professionalism while exemplifying MCR’s values.
• Support and promote the mission, vision, and values of Muckleshoot Casino Resort.
• Provide guests with a professional and friendly first impression.
• Handle and confirm reservations, allocate tables, and maintain accurate reservation records and seating charts.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
• Ensure tables are properly set up with clean tableware and appropriate settings.
• Coordinate with waitstaff to maintain a balanced and organized seating plan and optimize restaurant occupancy.
• Maintain the waitlist, estimate wait times accurately, and keep guests informed about table availability.
• Keep the reservation system up to date.
• Keep the restaurant entryway and lobby clean and organized and ensure waiting guests are comfortable.
• Promote special offers, wine selections, and other promotions during seating.
• Provide menu and daily-special information and answer guest questions.
• Assist with special requests and accommodations, including dietary restrictions.
• Handle guest complaints or issues professionally and resolve them to the best of your ability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
