About The Position

Sixty Vines is hiring a Host to welcome guests and help create a hospitable start to their dining experience. The role greets and seats guests, manages reservations and wait times, answers telephone calls, maintains the entrance and other assigned areas, and provides accurate information about the restaurant. Hosts also help with bussing tables when needed and communicate guest needs and important information to managers on duty.

Responsibilities

• Greet, welcome, and seat guests in a hospitable, friendly, and timely manner; escort them to their assigned tables and engage in light conversation.
• Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally, assist with guest needs, place callers on hold when necessary, or direct calls to the appropriate department.
• Manage the reservations system, book reservations properly, seat guests within reservation times, and avoid overbooking or underbooking.
• Offer alternative reservation times when a guest's preferred time is unavailable.
• Calculate, record, and quote accurate wait times; when waits are extensive, offer guests the bar for cocktails and appetizers.
• Maintain a clean entrance area, hostess stand, women's restroom, floors, and aisleways; keep areas free of debris.
• Assist with bussing tables when the restaurant is on a wait or needs a table immediately.
• Provide guests right of way and directions around the restaurant.
• Thank departing guests and welcome arriving guests.
• Know restaurant information and answer guest questions or address concerns, including questions about hours, menu items, price range, directions, contact information, daily menu additions, musical performances, and cocktail or wine features.
• Communicate important information to managers on duty.
• Interact with guests and coworkers professionally, hospitably, and in a friendly manner.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, ready to work, and wear the required uniform, including appropriate dress, makeup, hair, and jewelry.
