About The Position

Firmdale Hotels is seeking a Bar Host for the Warren Street Hotel. The host is the welcoming face of the establishment and helps set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The role includes greeting guests, answering calls and emails, taking reservations, and seating guests promptly according to their preferences. The host also provides estimated wait times, supports guest flow through service stations, and communicates with the restaurant team and other hotel departments. The position reports to the Bar Manager / Food & Beverage Supervisor.

Requirements

• Friendly and welcoming demeanour.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Availability for AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Nice To Haves

• OpenTable certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests warmly upon arrival.
• Provide estimated waiting times and remain professional and courteous in challenging situations.
• Seat guests according to their preferences while balancing customer flow in service stations.
• Thank guests as they leave, invite them to return, and relay feedback to the manager on duty.
• Maintain excellent communication between the restaurant and other hotel departments.
• Answer calls and field emails.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager on duty.
• Promote other Firmdale Hotels and restaurants.
• Ensure punctuality and personal responsibility in all tasks.
