About The Position

As a Host at Livery in Noblesville, you are the first point of contact for guests and help create an exceptional dining experience. You welcome and seat guests, manage reservations and waitlists, communicate with restaurant staff, and keep the host stand and waiting area clean and organized. Training will be provided. The position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable regulations.

Ability to stand, walk, and move around the restaurant for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with reservation systems or software.
Previous host or hostess experience; experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests with a friendly, positive attitude and escort them to their tables, presenting menus and providing assistance.
Manage the waitlist, estimate and communicate wait times, and notify guests when tables are ready.
Seat guests according to seating charts and server rotation to optimize table turnover.
Take and confirm reservations by phone or through the restaurant's reservation system, and maintain accurate reservation records.
Communicate special requests, guest preferences, and other important guest information to servers, kitchen staff, and other team members.
Provide information about menu items, daily specials, and promotions, and handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests professionally.
Assist with coat check, if applicable.
Coordinate with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to manage guest flow and support efficient service.
Complete daily opening and cleaning responsibilities to ensure the restaurant is guest-ready each morning.
Keep the host stand and waiting area clean, organized, and well-stocked, and ensure menus and promotional materials are in good condition and readily available.
