About The Position
The Busser plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The position involves clearing and resetting tables, assisting servers and kitchen staff, keeping service stations stocked and organized, interacting with guests, and helping maintain the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. No prior experience is required; on-the-job training is provided. The role requires physical stamina and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. - Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift trays or bus tubs for extended periods.
- Ability to lift trays of dishes and bus tubs weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables promptly after guests depart.
- Remove used dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables and transport them to the dishwashing area.
- Wipe down and sanitize tables, chairs, and condiment containers.
- Assist servers with refilling drinks, delivering food orders, and providing additional items to guests.
- Communicate with servers to ensure tables are prepared for new guests.
- Transport dishes from the kitchen to the dining area and ensure food orders are delivered to the correct tables.
- Keep server and busser stations clean and organized.
- Restock napkins, utensils, condiments, and other items as needed.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace trash bags when necessary.
- Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, respond to requests, and address inquiries or concerns, escalating them to servers or management when necessary.
- Assist with restaurant cleanliness, including sweeping and mopping floors and cleaning windows.
- Report maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
