About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Host for the B-Lux Burgers & Shake Restaurant. The Host provides a warm, friendly greeting and responsive service to dining guests, manages the timing and efficiency of seating, and considers guests’ preferences when assigning tables. The role supports an organized, welcoming dining environment by coordinating with servers and other team members and helping create an extraordinary guest experience.

The position pays $14 per hour. Work locations listed include Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; Sandusky, Ohio; Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania; Round Rock, Texas; and Spotsylvania County, Virginia.

Requirements

• General food and beverage knowledge.
• At least one year of high-volume experience in an upscale dining environment.
• Ability to operate a point-of-sale system and phone system.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

• OpenTable experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and escort them to their assigned dining area.
• Rotate tables as guests are seated throughout the shift.
• Courteously announce the name and party number when tables become available, using a pleasant, professional, and clear tone.
• Present menus and announce the server’s name when seating guests.
• Inspect tables to ensure proper presentation and completeness.
• Assist servers, bussers, co-hosts/hostesses, and management as needed.
• Answer the telephone using the proper Kalahari Resort verbiage.
• Coordinate with servers and other team members to maintain an organized and friendly dining environment.
• Manage waiting times and seating efficiently while considering guest preferences.
