About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Bartender for B-Lux Burgers, Shakes, and Fries. The bartender provides friendly, responsive, and consistent service to create an exceptional food and beverage experience for guests. The role involves creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing quality beverages, and engaging guests with attentive service. The listed pay rate is $7–$8 per hour plus tips. Locations listed are Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; Sandusky, Ohio; Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania; Round Rock, Texas; and Spotsylvania County, Virginia.

Requirements

Must have a bartender’s license to work in this position.
Must have bartending experience in a fine-dining, full-service, high-volume restaurant.
State or local law may require a certificate upon completion of an alcohol awareness or safety class.
State-certified proper food-handling certification may be required by state or local law.

Nice To Haves

Prior restaurant, bartender, or lounge experience in a full-service restaurant or beverage venue, and/or a background in the service industry, is a plus.

Responsibilities

Ensure guests feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service.
Greet guests promptly, explain specials, provide menu and beverage tours, recommend items and drinks, and advise guests of menu changes.
Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system for transmission to the kitchen and bar.
Keep the bar area neat and organized, including cleaning the bar top, counters, and well area; emptying and wiping ashtrays; removing, washing, and sterilizing cocktail glasses; and cleaning discarded napkins, coasters, straws, and garnishes.
Monitor guests’ alcohol consumption and its effects, and take immediate corrective action to assist guests and protect the interests of Kalahari Resorts and its associates.
