About The Position
The Host/Hostess greets guests at the entrance, answers questions, provides accurate wait times, and helps keep the dining room organized and guest flow smooth. The role coordinates with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff, shares information about the menu, specials, and Resort offerings, and assists with bussing, water service, and other light duties during peak periods. Other duties may be assigned. This is a seasonal position at Brian Head Resort for Winter 2026/2027, with a stated season running from November 2026 through April 2027.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and night shifts as needed.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Permit/ServSafe.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, answer questions, and provide accurate wait times.
- Organize seating charts and manage guest flow during busy periods.
- Coordinate with servers, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth transitions.
- Share information about the menu, specials, and Resort offerings with guests.
- Assist with bussing, water service, and light duties during peak periods.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
