About The Position

The Host greets and escorts restaurant guests to their tables based on party size and assigned stations, presents menus, and describes specials. The role circulates through the restaurant and coordinates service personnel to help ensure prompt, courteous service. Additional duties include assigning breaks, monitoring cleanliness and health and safety compliance, addressing guest complaints, and maintaining shift records.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during a shift.
• Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort guests to tables based on party size and station assignments.
• Provide menus and inform guests about specials.
• Circulate through the restaurant and coordinate service personnel to provide fast, courteous service.
• Assign breaks for bus persons and food servers.
• Inspect and monitor room cleanliness and compliance with safety and health code regulations.
• Resolve customer complaints or refer them to management as appropriate.
• Maintain records of guests served during the shift, employee absences, and equipment or food-service problems.
