About The Position

The Host or Hostess is part of the Guest Service Expert team, helping create memorable and unique guest experiences. Guest Service Experts take initiative and provide a range of services to help guests enjoy their meal, including setting tables, communicating with the kitchen, interacting with and serving guests, and cleaning work areas and supplies. They also help make transactions feel like part of the guest experience.

The role requires following company policies and procedures, upholding quality standards, maintaining a professional uniform and appearance, and communicating professionally. The position involves extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking; navigating sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces; reading and visually verifying menu information; and performing hands-on tasks such as moving objects and reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Other reasonable job duties may be assigned. The employee is expected to uphold The Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards, including its Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of related work experience is listed as the preferred qualification.
• No supervisory experience is listed as the preferred qualification.
• No license or certification is required.

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
