About The Position

Azabu is seeking a Host/Hostess to welcome guests and support a positive, professional dining experience. The role manages reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists; escorts guests to tables; communicates wait times and delays; and coordinates seating with servers and managers. The Host/Hostess also answers calls and guest inquiries, helps with special requests, maintains the host stand and guest waiting areas, and supports general restaurant hospitality and operations.

Nice To Haves

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, customer service, or retail experience.
• Basic computer and reservation system skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a positive and professional attitude.
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists using the restaurant's reservation system.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
• Maintain accurate wait times and communicate delays to guests.
• Coordinate seating arrangements with servers and managers to ensure efficient table rotation.
• Answer telephone calls and assist with guest inquiries regarding hours, reservations, and restaurant information.
• Assist with special requests and guest accommodations whenever possible.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance, and waiting areas.
• Support restaurant operations by assisting with menu presentation, guest flow, and general hospitality needs.
• Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and service standards.
