About The Position

The Busser supports restaurant service by preparing and setting dining areas, serving and refilling water and beverages, removing and replenishing utensils, and cleaning and resetting tables. The role assists servers and hosts, monitors table condition and cleanliness, and maintains orderly dining and kitchen areas in compliance with health and safety regulations. At the end of each shift, the Busser sweeps or mops restaurant areas and removes, cleans, and replaces matting.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent, or relevant work experience.
Meet the minimum age requirement of the jurisdiction.
Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal skills when working with high-profile clients, and problem-solving abilities.
Highly responsible and reliable.
Flexible to work AM and PM shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
Able to frequently lift, carry, bend, reach, and stoop.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds safely.
Ability to work in a busy restaurant setting.

Nice To Haves

Preferred 1–2 years of experience in a high-volume, luxury lounge or restaurant.

Responsibilities

Prepare dining areas before guests are seated.
Set tables with required items such as napkins, linens, and silverware.
Place tableware on tables.
Serve water as needed and refill beverages.
Remove dirty utensils and replenish them as needed.
Clean and reset tables after guests leave.
Maintain health and safety regulations in kitchen and dining areas.
Assist servers and hosts when necessary.
Keep restaurant areas neat and orderly at all times.
Assist servers by checking tables for plate condition, empty glasses, and cleanliness.
Sweep and/or mop restaurant areas at the end of every shift, removing, cleaning, and replacing matting each time.
