About The Position
Lolo's Surf Cantina is hiring a part-time Host/Hostess to welcome guests and support a positive dining experience. The role manages reservations, walk-ins, waitlists, guest seating, wait-time communications, and telephone inquiries. It also supports restaurant operations, maintains organized guest areas, accommodates special requests when possible, and follows company policies, safety procedures, and service standards. The position requires a friendly, professional demeanor and the ability to stay organized during busy service periods. Candidates should be able to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Previous restaurant, hospitality, customer service, or retail experience is preferred. Flexible scheduling may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a positive and professional attitude.
- Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists using the restaurant's reservation system.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
- Maintain accurate wait times and communicate delays to guests.
- Coordinate seating arrangements with servers and managers to ensure efficient table rotation.
- Answer telephone calls and assist with inquiries about hours, reservations, and restaurant information.
- Assist with special requests and guest accommodations whenever possible.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance, and waiting areas.
- Support restaurant operations with menu presentation, guest flow, and general hospitality needs.
- Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and service standards.
