About The Position

Lolo's Surf Cantina is hiring a part-time Host/Hostess to welcome guests and support restaurant operations. The role manages reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists; escorts guests to tables; communicates wait times; coordinates seating with servers and managers; answers guest inquiries; and helps maintain a welcoming, organized entrance and host stand. The Host/Hostess also assists with special requests and general hospitality needs, thanks guests as they depart, and follows company policies, safety procedures, and service standards.

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, customer service, or retail experience preferred.
• Basic computer and reservation system skills preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a positive and professional attitude.
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists using the restaurant's reservation system.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
• Maintain accurate wait times and communicate delays to guests.
• Coordinate seating arrangements with servers and managers to ensure efficient table rotation.
• Answer telephone calls and assist with guest inquiries regarding hours, reservations, and restaurant information.
• Assist with special requests and guest accommodations whenever possible.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance, and waiting areas.
• Support restaurant operations by assisting with menu presentation, guest flow, and general hospitality needs.
• Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and service standards.
